Welcome to the home of Modern Pentathlon GB, East Region which covers Essex, Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridge, Northants, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire.

The Region exists to encourage new members and support them through grass roots to the English Talent Program and beyond.

Modern pentathlon is an multi-discipline sport, allowing you to challenge yourself while experiencing the exciting disciplines that make up the event. You do not need to have already mastered any of the disciplines to get started. For more information on what Modern Pentathlon can offer you, please look at our About our Sport page.

Our next training day is Saturday 20th January 2018 and is at a NEW LOCATION

Lockers Park School, Warners End Road, HP1 1TL

We must use the back entrance opposite Glenview Road,  the sports hall is the building you see as you enter the car park.

The details which are significantly different than previously are;

12-4pm Combind Event (Shooting and running) and also Fencing. The footwork and conditioning for both the Combined event and Fencing will be done together, actually fencing will be between 3 & 4p for those that do not wish to fence.

4:30 to 5:30pm the diving pit at Hemel has been booked

Please bring two pairs of trainers as it will be muddy outside for the running and we must not get the school’s sport hall floor dirty.

Also bring all food and drink required as there are no canteen facilities.

Well done to everyone that took part on Saturday. Despite a dull start to the day weather wise, the rain held off to allow a host of incredible effort from all the athletes both on the track and in the pool.

We would also like to say a huge thank you to the volunteers on the day without whom the competition would not have been possible.

Clean here for the results file or go to our competitions page to view it on the website.

We encourage and prepare our members to compete in a number of competitions across all disciplines within Pentathlon to gain essential experience.

Over the last 12 months we have seen our members compete in fencing competitions and leagues, our own Biathlon, Triathlon and Tetrathlon, other region’s championship as well as National rankings and championships. A small number of our members have also been selected for international appearances at all levels.
